PhD application requirements are now available on the graduate applicants website.

Graduate Application Requirements

Application Guidelines will be replaced with Application Requirements.

Graduate application requirements for 2025 admission will be available on the graduate applicants website soon. PhD application requirements will go live on July 1, 2024 and the application will open on August 1, 2024.

Masters degree program application requirements will be available on August 1, 2024 with applications opening on October 1, 2024.

Late Graduate Applications

Late graduate applications may be considered upon request to MPD, MSJ, SJ, SJAC. Applications to MCG, DSM and PRA domestic only will be considered. Inquirers may email their request to ascadm@usc.edu. The officer of the week will follow-up.

Graduate Application Deadline Extensions

Application deadlines have been extended to February 1, 2024 for the following degree programs.

• Public Diplomacy

• Specialized Journalism

• Specialized Journalism, Arts and Culture

Thanksgiving Week

Annenberg Admissions Office will be open Monday, November 20th, Tuesday, November 21st, Wednesday 22nd at 9am-5pm. On Wednesday, the office will close at 1pm.

Transcript Upload Error- Graduate Applicants

Graduate applicants may encounter difficulty uploading their transcript to the online application if the file size is too small. This is to prevent students from uploading blank documents unintentionally.

If this occurs, please inform the applicant to contact uscsupport@liaisoncas.com. In their message they should include the following details:

• CAS ID

• Degree program they are applying to

• Brief description of the issue

Graduate Application Update Requests

2023 applicants that requested to update their applications to 2024 admission consideration will receive detailed instructions by/on October 31, 2023. If an applicant calls with questions, you may direct them to email ascadm@usc.edu . Ask the caller to include their full name and USC ID in the email message, and an admissions officer will respond.

Private: Suspension of GRE Requirement

For the 2022 admission cycle, USC Annenberg has suspended the GRE requirement for ALL graduate applicants.

Taking TOEFL and IELTS Tests During COVID

USC Office of Graduate will continue to accept TOEFL iBT Home Edition and IELTS Indicator online test scores for Summer or Fall 2022 application.

Test Center Closures

If an applicant calls to say that they do not have access to a test center due to the Novel Coronavirus closures, please have them email ascadm@usc.edu.  Ask that they include their full name, CAS ID, and degree program in the correspondence explaining their situation.

Delete Phone Messages

Please make sure to delete all voicemails once you’ve written the message on a pink slip. This will prevent confusion about whether the phone call has been returned. Thank you.

Intern Folders

Please check your folders regularly and toss old materials. (Folders are in the first drawer under the staff mailslots.)

Stow your backpacks and personal items in the second drawer during your shift.

WePow Interviews

If applicants call requesting a video interview be sent or resent to them for any reason, please have them send a written request with their name and USC ID number to our ascadm@usc.edu email address.

WebAdmit Access to PhD applications

All interns have been granted access to post 693 PhD in Communication. If you do not have access, see Valerie immediately.

Transfer Admissions Fall 2022
