FedEx Shipments
CREATE A SHIPMENT
**If there is an exceptionally large shipment, use the carts to take the items over to USC Village FedEx for them to pack and ship the items. Bring the FedEx account number, and be sure to request tracking numbers and, if necessary, return labels (placed inside the sealed packages). For smaller shipments, follow these instructions:
Navigate to www.fedex.com and enter the login: ascadm and password: Ascj0123
FED EX Account # 791192978
Select “Shipping” then select “Create a shipment” (Make sure you are in advanced shipping, not FedEx Ship Manager LITE)
Enter the following information into the provided fields:
Section 2
Company/Contact Name: Destination company/contact, provided by staff
Address/City/State/Zip: Destination address, provided by staff
Phone Number: Destination phone number if provided, otherwise use 213.821.0770 (this is required)
Section 3
Ship Date: Unless otherwise specified, if you are in the morning shift – select today’s date, if you are in the afternoon shift – select tomorrow’s date.
Weight: 1 pound for FedEx Envelopes; 10 pounds for FedEx Box (they will be officially weighed by FedEx)
Declared Values: $1.00
Service Type: Priority Overnight for domestic shipments unless otherwise specified. International priority for international shipments unless otherwise specified. Check the box for Saturday Delivery!
Package Type: usually FedEx Envelope or FedEx Box
Create Return Shipment for Standard Recruitment Boxes: include return shipment label, shipping sleeve, and FedEx pack

Pickup/Drop-off (optional)
Always verify if there is an already existing pick up scheduled, or if you need to create a new one. If you know a new one needs to be scheduled, you can do so while in the shipping menu under “Pickup/Drop-off (optional)”
To schedule a pickup, select the + icon next to Edit, and change to Schedule a pickup.
Confirm the pickup address.
Next to Package Information, select Edit. Confirm the total number of packages and total weight (10 pounds if a package, 1 pound if an envelope).
Pickup date: If in the AM – today, otherwise tomorrow’s date (unless otherwise noted) If the package needs to go out today, and it is not an option for pickup, the package can be walked over to the USC Mail Stop (PSX) before 4:00PM or USC FedEx at the Village before 5:00PM
Ready time/Latest time available: within the Student Services suite hours (9:00 AM – 4:30 PM) The default time on the FedEx website is set for 6:00 PM (18:00) please make sure to change to at least 4:30 PM (16:30) for all pickups
Location of packages or special instructions: STUDENT SERVICES/ASC 140
IMPORTANT: Schedule the pickup ONLY IF the box is approved.
Click Ship (or “Continue to return shipment”) once, confirm the shipping details, and then press Ship again
Check the Label box AND the Receipt box
Print the label, the return label, and the receipt. Make backup copies of both the labels. Email the return labels to the requesting officer and give them the receipt.
IMPORTANT: Place the “A” stickers on all sides of your package, but not on the pull to open strip.

Finding Old Shipment Information

click on Create a shipment
click on Ship manager (the top one)
you will see a 3rd tab on the top that says “Ship History” where you can check on past shipments and get their tracking numbers.
