Walk-ins

  • Annenberg Student Services front desk staff may call or come back to the intern desk when a walk-in for admissions arrives

    • It is preferred that they call – if they walk back or call, ask the front desk intern to find out which degree program they are interested in, and if they are a prospective freshman, transfer or graduate student.

  • Get the appropriate information packet

    • If a transfer inquirer, make sure the Annenberg Transfer Guidelines are in the packet

    • If a graduate inquirer, make sure the degree program materials are in the packet (Checklist, FAQ, class profile, etc.)

  • Next alert the Office of the Week that you will be away from the desk

    • The admissions officer may decide to answer the phones or allow you to forward the phone to voicemail

  • Go to the front desk to greet the walk-in with the materials.  Ask if they have any questions that you can answer, and for graduate inquirers make sure they fill out the inquiry card

    • If the inquirer has questions you cannot answer, ask the person to wait in the Student Services lobby while you get the Officer of the Week.  If the questions are not complex, feel free to return to the inquirer with the answers yourself, otherwise alter the officer they should speak directly with the inquirer
